BS EN 1301-2:2008 specifies the mechanical properties of aluminium and aluminium alloy drawn wires for general engineering applications (except aeronautical rivets).

BS EN 1301-2 applies to drawn wires, except for electrical or welding purposes. The designation of aluminium and aluminium alloys, their chemical composition and the temper designations used in this standard are in accordance with BS EN 573- 3 and BS EN 515 respectively.

BS EN 1301-2 does not apply to drawing stock.

BS EN 1301-2:2008 supersedes BS EN 1301-2:1997 which is withdrawn.
