What is BS EN 2133 about?
BS EN 2133 specifies the electrolytic cadmium plating of parts and fasteners in steel of tensile strength UTS ≤ 1 450 MPa, copper, copper alloys and nickel alloys, whose temperature is in service does not exceed 235 °C.

What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN 2133:2020 supersedes BS EN 2133:2010. BS EN 2133:2020 includes some technical changes with respect to BS EN 2133:2010. These include:
- Requirements for finishing operations other than chromating, e.g. phosphating" has been replaced by "Requirements for finishing operations other than Type 2 or Type 3 post-treatment, e.g. phosphating"
