1 Scope

This document specifies methods for measuring the structural return loss of symmetrical cables for digital data transmission.

It is applicable together with EN 3475‑100 and EN 50289‑1‑11:2016. Attention is drawn in particular to correction procedures detailed in EN 50289‑1‑11:2016, Annex B, to minimize negative effects of cable preparation in the purpose of high frequency range measurements.
