What is BS EN 14848 about?
BS EN 14848 discusses aerosol containers. BS EN 14848 specifies the critical dimensions of valve cups suitable for clinching into 25,4 mm aperture metal aerosol containers. BS EN 14848 applies to aperture metal aerosol containers which are used with the metal aerosol containers by EN 14847 and EN 15006.
Note 1: BS EN 14848 does not specify dimples on aperture metal aerosol containers.
Note 2: Dimples are excluded from BS EN 14848.

Cups in tinplate, black plate, stainless steel, aluminium, and aluminium alloys are permitted by this standard. But it is emphasized that the dimensions are independent of the material.
